Adult Services Division
The
Adult Services Division provides initiatives that seek to mobilize adults to utilize
internal community resources to enhance their quality of living and build
healthier relationships.
- Haddington Senior Program – Weekly
program for senior citizens presented in a stimulating, fun environment while
promoting good health and nutrition.
Programming includes interactive games, arts and crafts, field
trips, and opportunities to interact with and mentor young people.
- Independence House – A
residential facility for adults who are HIV positive, that promotes
healthy living and supports other
agencies in the delivery of Advocacy, Health Coordination, Health
Education, Nutrition Education, Recreation, Substance Abuse Services, and
Tenant Support Groups. Independence House also coordinates a feeding program
that provides breakfast and lunch for residents.
o Parent
Support and Education Program – Provides targeted services to parents
and co-care givers of children in North and West Philadelphia. Planned programs often consist of : workshops, seminars, open discussions, and nutritious meals.
